Why I like the Hammersley framework as a basis for critical appraisal of social research
A 20 minute podcast that explains Martyn Hammersley's framework for critiquing ethnographic research, and then argues why it may be valuable in critical appraisals of other forms of educational and social enquiry, too. It concludes with an argument for placing aesthetic dimensions more prominently in our evaluations, suggesting that such an approach is consistent with the original spirit of Hammersley's guide.
